Week One Class for Kaiser Options

Was lastnight, and we got our weight taken. When I was refured I was 312 pounds. Yesterday I was informed I was 296.8     I had lost 15.2 pounds which is good since I have to lose 31.2 pounds durring options. I have 16 more pounds to go, if not more!!!

Way to go!  That's fantastic, keep up the great job because you're going to be very well prepared for your surgery and quick recovery too.  Proud of you!

I was excited. I sent out a mass text message to my co-workers and family.

thats cool that thy are going from your refferal weight. They said they were going from the weight of my first class... I think i lost a lb before my first class.

What exactly is the options program? I didnt do that program. Where are you having your surgery(facility)?

Options is a mandatory class we have to take ( for 24 weeks) to learn our new life styles. If we dont take the classes Kaiser wont pass us into surgery. My husband and I are going to go to San Diego for the surgery.

I wont be done with my classes until Dec 17th. We start on protein, and counting calories. We understand and learn a lot about the WLS WE have to read chapters and even take a test to make sure we understand everything we are about to do. I think its a wonderful idea that my insurance is doing this.

We get a NUT and a Dietian and a Psych at each meeting.

GOOD FOR YOU!!! Thats awsome! I went through the Options program also you will def. be ready for surgery by the time the classes are over! GOOD LUCK! and WOOT WOOT on the weight loss!

Yay Katrina! Way to go!! I believe in you, I know you can do it! I am telling you, the  first few classes will go slow, then it will be graduation and you will be like where did the time go. I am so happy for you, my friend!
