See how much I had forgotten?  That's why we need to have more get togethers.

I blame Jimmy. Everything went down hill after we met Jimmy. :D

My last supper was awesome, people who I had not even met before came out from all over just to celebrate when I got my surgery. I was a lucky duck, I had TWO kick-ass angels.  Maybe it was because I waited so long and had to hire an attorney to fight to be approved....but maybe it was also because things were different.

There was a lot more face-to-face meet-ups for all sorts of events. I miss those days. Only way to bring them back is to start planning stuff.

I liked the fact that you blamed Jimmy... nice touch.

If you can think of any locale that could hold a lot of people please let me know.

Yo no se que paso

Yes! I do recall the multiple events that used to happen and EVERYONE was welcome!  I so remember the cruise we all took and all the last suppers we had week after week.

The only thing I can think of why these don't exist is because nobody is planning them and because we all come and go in waves....You and many others including myself are a few years post op and when OH was new to us!  I recall having OH withdrawls when I was away from my pc   I so could not wait to get home to check out events that were happening, parties, social gatherings, etc

Well Kirsten?  What do you want to do?  Let's rock the boat and shake things up in Southern California!!!!!!!          Let's plan         And like I said.....EVERYONE is invited.

Sounds good.  How about for the holidays?  Dinner would be hard in December because I'm sure restaurants are all booked up already, but lunch would work?  Does need to be in a location that is more central.....you've witnessed how far away I live!  LOL

How about the weekend AFTER Christmas when all the traveling, shopping, visiting, cooking and celebrating slows down?  It would give us time to plan and find a spot....perhaps someplace in LA thet would be central for most peeps.

Meanwhile, we can do a few Bounce evenings....there's still the So Cal Coffee coming up....and maybe we can think of a few others things.

I agree, invite everyone....try to bust out of the 'elite click' thing.
