If what you did yesterday seems big, you haven’t done anything today.

Great Tuesday Morning Cali Friends, what are you thankful for today?

Today I am thankful for...

1.  doing a resume for one of my sax playing partners that is just finishing up his masters in Psych and he was hired as a teacher at the college on the spot!  Whoo hoo!!!  He listened to my suggestions on wearing a suit, interviewing and writing thank you notes, he's young enough to be my own kid and I have been playing sax with him since he graduated from high school, he is a GREAT kid!

2.  tomight getting my hair cut and colored, thank goodness!

3.  the heater finally going on this morning, I thought I was going to have icecicles on my nose!

OK your turn, what are you thankful for today?

Morning,

I am thankful today for:

My new blanket, OMG so soft and so warm.  It was time I had something better than what I was sleeping with on this chair with,

Friends, who bend over backwards to make sure I am ok.  Will I ever be able to repay them for their kindness?

RNY...gave me a chance to lose my weight, and is helping me keep it off, in one year, I have gained one lb.  NEVER happened before.  I think I can manage to get that off and more off soon.

Hi Barb

I am thankful for life itself, my family and my friends.

I am thankful for my hubby who keeps me nice and warm on these cool days and nights.

I am thankful that my son Chris and his wife Cheri and their three girls Caylin, Caysie and Crystina are all moved in (from Victorville to Blue Jay near Lake Arrowhead).

I am thankful that my other son, Joe, is with a really good Italian girl.

I am thankful for my RNY surgery two years ago.  I feel soooooo much better about myself, life and just in general.  I am healthier and more active.

Have a great day!

Terry

It sure is good C'ING LESS OF ME!

We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
& all are different colors....but they

ALL exist very nicely in the same box.

Waking up to a ringing phone to be told that my medications were shipped on Monday.

Being stiff, sore, tired and cranky/creaky and still making it to the bathroom on time.

Having a protein drink ready in the fridge door that my lovely wife made last night. So now sipping away.
Don't mess with womyn/dragons for you are crunchy and good with reduced fat honey mustard on the side...

Nice quote!

Today I am thankful for ...

PATIENCE.  I am thankful for every little bit of PATIENCE I can muster. Patience with my MIL who keeps telling the doctors different stories about what she can and can't see and looks like we are chained to home another holiday because of her bad (i.e. selfish) medical decisions and pending surgeries, or not depending if today's story changes from the one she gave the doc yesterday???  Patience with my other half who is stressed out to the MAX with his mother and the daily changing dialogue with the doctors that is robbing us of our life.  Patience that the kids invited themselves without hesitation after we cancelled our trip to see them this weekend to deal with MIL- kinda not a good time for the added stress of houseguests, but they are worried about her too. Patience that my body will continue its weight losses despite this STOOPID nearly month long stall I am in.  Patience that I don't blow my lid and yell at someone out of frustration for things beyond my control.

I am thankful for my job and super busy assignments that keep my head to the grindstone.  We've been lucky up till now that there've been no layoffs, but the axe seems to be hovering and chopping is imminent this week.  We were told that raises aren't happening this year, but bonuses are - So I am very lucky to have a job. Kinda scary when coming to work is my stability right now.

I am thankful for my friends Rosie and Julie... who keep me laughing.. with them.. and most importantly at myself.

I am thankful for wonderful workouts where I can swim my heart out and hopefully out-lap some of this dreadful stress.

I am thankful that I will not miss the luncheon on Saturday!

Love & Hugs (and sorry im on such a downer.. its very unlike me!)
