Revision sought in Northern Calif.
Dr. John Rabkin is in San Francisco.
Dr. Ara Keshishian is in Delano.
You might want to look at the failed weight loss surgery forum for people who have had the ROSE procedure done. I don't know what the stats on it are, but I have seen a lot of people say it didn't work.

Won against big bad (SoCal) Kaiser for a Duodenal Switch Haven't heard of DS? Kaiser wants it that way. Come on over & read the truth.
Hit goal (Normal BMI) on 2-10-11! I LOVE my DS!!
My approval process timeline:
02/12/09 - Dr. refused to refer me for WLS
03/03/09 - Vented/whined about it on another board, planned to just wait until next year & switch plans
Let's see what happens!

Mariee, I don't know your story, but if the RNY has failed you (notice, not necesarily the other way around) you would do well to look at all your revision options, including revision to the DS. There are a fair number of people on the DS forum who have been revised from RNY or lap band or other procedures to the DS, and they seem to do well and be very pleased with the results.
Also, while, like Danas, I don't know the exact statistics, I have seen a lot of reports of failure with the ROSE and similar procedures, and that's just short term, never mind long term. Since these procedures are all fairly new, there are no longterm statistics available, but if it doesn't work short term, it will do even worse longterm. It's an intriguing concept, but it doesn't seem to work well.
Come on over to the DS forum and learn more about it. Whatever you decide, it's always best to know all your options and make an informed decision.

Thanks to all *****plied. You're all correct, the Rose procedure does not seem worth the effort or money. I'm hesitant to have the DS, though. I was just hoping to get my stomach back to the original tiny size to limit the food intake. I'm going to do some research into revision Lap Band surgery. I'm getting desperate.
