If you can walk 8 miles, with some training you could walk a half marathon!  The training is the same, 4 short walks during the week that last about 45-minutes....and every weekend you do a 'long' walk that increases in distance every wee****il you get to 13.  You'd be surprised what your body will do when you train it!

Shouldn't you be out drinking Mai Tai's or rubbing up on some half nekkid hula guys or something?

yeah i was talking to my 'bro in law about it. he has run full marathons b4. he said that is ambitious, but a half is realistic. i figure  he is right

i can walk 6 miles+. i ordinarily do 4-5, but know i can do more now. i just let it happen sort of naturally

my progress seems to double and triple the more i do. cardio conditioning, weight loss, everything has improved greatly just over the last two months. and i've been doing this just six months

and my legs! omg they are STRONG and muscular. i look at them and think "wtf those aren't mine!'

but they are. and i am getting stronger it seems with each workout

i could probably "walk" thirteen miles no problem. but i woud like to go at a good pace and do well. so, more treadmill work, a bit more endurance and stamina, and i will look into training for a half marathon. great!

thanks for the encouraging words...
