TGIF!  My day started out at the Ear Specialist office at 6:45 a.m.  He had to remove fluid from my ear and then use chemical burn.  Yep, lots of fun! NOT.
Wishing you all a great Friday and weekend too!

It sure is good C'ING LESS OF ME!

We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
& all are different colors....but they

ALL exist very nicely in the same box.

4 hours left for me.  Then it's off to decorate the inside of the house so I can actually get into the holiday spirit.  This will all change when we go to the Belmont Shore Christmas Parade tomorrow evening and return home Christmas decorated home.

We have been going to the Belmont Shore Parade for the past 27 years.  I think I have only missed once because 1 of the kiddos was sick.  I have dragged my kids to this since they were 7mos & 2 mos old.  Always a blast.  This year will be a little different since I will not be drinking my usual Jack & coke and my daughter will be unable to join us.  I have not drank since surgery but I do plan on having at least 1 drink during the parade tomorrow.  I am thinking Grey Goose Vodka w/Cranberry.  If this goes well, guess this is what I will drink for the Company Christmas party on the 19th and the Dave Koz concert on the 20th.

Regardless of finances for me or anyone else, Christmas is always a wonderful holiday shared by many.

Well, have a great weekend everyone whatever your plans are.  If you are in the Belmont Shore / Long Beach area on Saturday (tomorrow) come on down to the parade.  Send me a PM and I will give you my cell # and maybe we can hook up.

Annette,

Word of caution....you DO NOT want to try that first drink when you are not at home.  You don't know how you will react.  Alcohol hits us all differently and you could have a major dumping episode and feel like you are dying.  Additionally, you could also dump from the cranberry juice. I highly recommend you try a drink at home first before you have one out and be prepared for the alcohol to hit you like a ton of bricks.  Then you'll sobber up even quicker.  Also, just drink some water after the drink.  That sobbers you up too.

Thank Stephanie -

I drink diet cranberry every single day and no problems at all.  As for alcohol, I have had a couple of sips of beer here and there but that is not my thing.  For my birthday my husband ordered me a margarita and I only had  about 1/3 of it with no problem.  I can down those like no tomorrow, but I did not want to get sick and I have very good will power.

It will probably be a very light drink mostly cranberry juice as there are some things I am just afraid to do because I don't want to get sick.  As for dumping there will always be a 1st for everything and I have been so very, very, lucky to not have a problem with absolutley any foods except hot dogs (no big loss there).

I truly enjoy the parade and of course it's always much more fun while drinking, but I am a barrel of laughs regardless because I enjoy myself and people wherever I may be.  So I will take it easy and just sip on a very light drink.  The Christmas parade and company party are really the only times of the year that I do drink.  I had wayyyyyyyyyyy to much fun in HS and College that it made me sick, so I am a very, very, occasioinal drinker.

Thank you for your reply and concern.  Besides, since my daughter is not going this year we do not have a desig. driver.  The desig. driver has become me since surgery and I don't mind at all.

I'll post on Sunday on how I feel.

Thanks again.
