Hi Michelle.  Glad that you received a lot of feedback and support on the Cali Board.  As the others have said, just make sure you are drinking plenty of water, getting in protein and exercising.
You are not the only one in this boat.  I am 2 years out and lately found that I am eating the wrong carbs and yep I mean the wrong carbs.  I cut out the bad carbs and increased my water and doing much better.  Also, exercise is key to losing weight and keeping it off.
Wishing you the best.  Hang in there!

Thank you, Terry. I really appreciate your advice. I am going to try to drink more water. Is it possible to drink too much? I have a hard time with straight bottle water. I always add a packet of s/f drink mix to it. Is this bad? Should I cut this out?

read up on the adkins diet and you will see there are carbs where you don't think it.  Also just do a search on here and you can find a carb counter, which would help and then go to fit day.com and write down everything you put in your mouth.  You have got to be honest with yourself, that is the only way you will be able to continue on the road of success

Thank you, Diane. I will certainly look into that. My BIL swears by the Adkins diet. I think they have a book that I can borrow. I am going to use the tips that you gave me. I appreciate the help.

Hello again Michelle.  Sorry for such a delayed response.  Haven't been on OH much due to work, family and the holiday season.  I thinhk the s/f drink mix in a bottle of water is a great idea and this is one of the ways most of us get our water in. :)

Hi Michelle,

I really cannot add to what has already been posted (lots of great advice and encouragement); but I will say this-- you are not a failure!  Just so that we are clear on this issue, a "failure" is someone who doesn't try.  The fact that you are trying is a testament to you because you have already won half of the battle; all you did (or doing) is tried.
Be encouraged!

Kim

Thank you Kimmie! I so needed to hear that. I have to understand what I feel and how others percieve me, isn't always neccessarly the truth. I am trying!!

Hi Michelle...

You are so not a failure!  Go back and read your post again.. look at those size drops.. OMG thats awesome!  No more meds and normal blood tests!  That is incredible!   Im sure it is frustrating.   I know I've lost kind of quickly but look where I started ... 385 yikes!  I hate thinking of that #.    It seems to be slowing down for me too right now.

You have a positive attitude, you're feeling good, you're looking good, you can exercise, and you are paying attention.  I bet it starts coming off again soon if you just keep it up!

big hugs friend!

Jackie

hey michelle,

as much as I'd like to hit a stall, I just seem to keep losing (slowly, but it's still falling off).  I found out that keeping the protein g's high, and confusing your body with different workouts really helped me a lot.  one day i'd walk/jog the streets, the next day i'd ride the recumbent bike.  alternate days, then maybe 2 or 3 straight days of one, then back to the other.  upping the time does help as well.  Even though i only do 1/2hr - 1hr of exercise 4-5 days a week, I make sure I go all out (but that's just me).  we're all different, you that's one thing that you have to keep in mind.
