Good Morning Lu and Cali,

It is quite chilly this morning and I can't get my child to keep something on her feet.  So that is how I will be spending my day.  Also wrapping gifts which I do not like to do so I want it over with. Then I have to call tonight a check on my jury duty which is suppose to start tomorrow.  Hopefully when I call they will say I don't have to go.

Everyone enjoy the day

Good Morning Lu and Cali Crew!

Boy, are you probably giving a sigh of relief when you get off work today, Lu! You so deserve a nice rest. Nice of DD to get your last package off for you. I had a very nice weekend. Got somethings out of the way, errands done. But not all the shopping done. Yup, payday dictates that I go out there with the other crazies on Wednesday!! UGH! Shopping isn't the reason for the season, but the kids look forward to "Santa".
I will be doing so much traveling starting Thursday, I should get frequent flyer miles! Up and down  and way over and way back and sleeping there and sleeping here! Sheesh! But, its all about family and friends and I am just happy and blessed that I still have mine.
I just wish my shoulders would stop bothering me. They are aching so much this past week. Plus, they "click" and "pop". UGH. I am not a fan of medicine period. But I am not sure what to take that isn't strong. I haven't taken any pain meds since surgery. I do not like vicodin, still have my full bottle from surgery. Have norco, but its not "that bad". plus 100 mg seems too much.  Any help?
Just want to congratulate Nancy on losing 100 pounds!! Wow, weigh to go, lady!! That is wonderful!
Barb, glad your saxophone Christmas program went so well! I would have loved to have seen video. My grandpa played Sax in his big band. Go check out my pictures on facebook, he is in there.
Jillie, Welcome home to Dusty!! Give that man a huge hug of welcome home and thank you from all of us. No need to say enjoy him and the rest of your family this week, right?
Dolores, how did your test go?
Steph, sorry to hear that you are in pain. I hope it goes away soon.
Kimmie, yay for running!! That is so fantastic!
Kirsten, You are so in my thoughts, love.
Fake-A$$ Lola, you keep us all entertained with your posts. Love them.
Monica P, Congratulations on your European Vacation! Have fun! Take plenty of pictures and check in when you can! So jealous, but so happy! You Go Girl, and Live your Life!!
MoMo, relish the "Tiny" title. You have worked hard for it! Definitely a WOW moment.
Kim S. Congratulations on the "new" bathroom being done! Yay!!
Katt, have a wonderful time serving and singing at church service on Thursday.
Stacie Z., how did the "dad" meeting go? I was keeping you in my thoughts. I know it was hard for you.
Congratulations to Nathalie and Katrina and all the people that have just finished their classes and are now just waiting for the paperwork. Hang on! Its an awesome ride!

Good Morning Lu and the Cali Crew!!

It's another wonderful Monday morning.  At least it is a short week.  Work is going to be slow all week.  Not much freight moving right now.

I had a busy weekend.  My kids finally got to spend some time with their dad.  He hasn't seen them in about 4 years.  They wanted me to go with them but they were gone by the time I got home from work because I had to stay over a little.  They had a good time with him.  He took them to the park and then to dinner.  He also brought them socks, jackets and shoes.  They had a good time and I got the afternoon by myself.  It was good all around.

Saturday was Angel Food Distribution and then I did some christmas shopping.  sunday was church and then relaxing.  Today and the rest of weekis just work.  Half day on Thursday and that is our chistmas party.

Have a good day everyone!!!
My great hope is to laugh as much as I cry; to get my work done and try to love somebody and have the courage to accept the love in return.-- Maya Angelou

Good morning Lu and the rest of Calif,

Just a quick hello from me this morning.  I have alot to do and don't know how long my arm will cooperate.  It's much better then it was last week.  The doctor gave me some good stuff to block the pain.  I'm a little loopy from it, but I'm functioning, so I'll take it.

Had a busy weekend.  Saw Riverdance on Friday night, a party at some friend's house on Saturday night and then last night we went to the Newport Beach Boat Parade.  The parade and the houses did not let us down, that is for sure.  The decorations are truly jaw dropping.  We walked all over, took the ferry over to Balboa and walked all around there.  It was just a wonderful evening.  My son and his girlfriend joined us and it was fun spending the time with them.

Ok, so time for me to get to work here.  I have so much to do.  Everyone have a terrific day today.

Hi all,

Lu, have a good rest. You need it! We all need it!

I am so checked out when it comes to work.  At the end of today, I am done until one half day on December 31 and then I am off through the 3rd. I can't wait. Today is going to be very slow as I count the minutes down.

From today until the 25th I'll have a boat load of family in town so things will be busy. I am hosting dinner on the 23rd as well as Christmas cookie decorating earlier in the day. I am not making the cookies myself, I insisted on that.

On the 27th - 30th my hubby and I are going to Reno to a spa resort casino where I will do nothing but work out, sit in hot tubs and steam rooms and hopefully indulge in many spa treatments.  I hope to win Megabucks while I am there.

Have a great week!

Morning Cali!

What a great day!  My Fakacation begins today.  Two weeks with no staff, no delinquents and no BOSS!  And I get to sit and enjoy the fake vacation and get paid.  LOL!

Have a great day!

Hey Cali,

My weekend started off great, then went downhill and turned up great.

Saturday, I took "Baby" in for an oil change and while I was there, they changed the air filter and did a 30 point check.  She is doing great with no leaks.  Yay, no major repair bills for me!  My mechanic told me to get my transmission fluid and coolant done either with my next oil change or before (depending on my budget).  Then, I went to So. Cal Coffee, that was fun (as always).  I came home and  made some corn pudding for the spades meetup later that evening.  While at the meetup, I did not get to play spades, only dominoes.  One of the participants (a cutie) e-mailed me saying how much he enjoyed playing dominoes with me.  I made sure I replied back to him.  LOL.  I had to cut my evening short because I need my rest for my first long run.

Sunday, I drove way out to run  (7.5 miles) with a friend and her mom.  I started off great for 2.5 miles, and then I started to fall behind.  I fell completely behind around mile 4.  After that, I did very little running.  I felt like a failure and at one point, I cried.  The only thing I could think to do is to keep going.  I was offered a ride back to my car, but I refused.  I did not stop.  Several things I have to keep in mind: I am not trained and I am heavier than I used to be.
For me to be prepared for the next two races, it is going to take a lot of hard work and dedication on my part.  Afterwards, I went for coffee and a pit stop at BevMo.  Nice place.
I went in to look for particular wines for me and my friend.  I called her up and she asked me to bring her two of the wines and she would reinburse me later.  I was running so late, that I did not get to go home and change.

After calling up a family friend, I drove back to L.A., picked my friend up and proceeded to my cousin's house for a tree decorating party.  After some food and much laughter, I felt pretty good.

More Love & Peace,

Kim
