Less than 60 days to go!  How's the training going?

Did 18 today in 3:21:37, so am thinking about cracking the 5 hour mark if things fall into place

This LA Marathoner also did 18 miles yesterday.....barely!  I am suffering from tendonitis in my foot/ankle....had major cramping and took extra potassium at mile 13......and went out waaaaay too fast for the first 9 miles and didn't even realize it (2:06).  Needless to say....it was a tough run, but I ended up finishing only 17 minutes behind pace.  Total time:  4:47  :-(

Sounds like things are going well and I think you're going to make the 5 hour mark.  My plan was to crack the 6 hour mark.....but now I'm a bit discouraged.  Did end up buying new shoes today that will hopefully help with the tendonitis.  Only time will tell....until then it's lots of ice and Aleve for me.

I replied to your other post on the Exercise board, but just wanted to say here, don't get down.  Rest up and get back out there!

Hi Brian,

I ran 6 miles this past Saturday.  Next weekend I do 12 miles (yay!).   Kirsten has reassured me that with my running background and the fact I am currently training, I will get through L.A.  with a brisk walk and do well.

You will as long as you keep up the training.  Heck....at this point your brisk walk might beat my run!  :-(

Nah!  I have seen you run; you are grease lightening fast.

Without struggle, there is no progress.
