Recently moved to San Jose area -support groups???

 Hi everyone,

I recently moved to the San Jose area from another state.  Are there active support groups here in the South Bay Area??

Hi Debbie,

El Camino hospital in Mountain View has a support group that meets once per month. I lost touch with going, but you can call their bariatric department to get the location and time. I like this group and they usually bring in speakers for specific topics too.

I have several friends that have had surgery there and also go to the support groups.

Welcome to San Jose. I go to a group that meets the 4th Wed. of every month at 6:30pm in Mountain View. They are at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation on El Camino and Hwy 85.

I'll be there tomorrow night if you go. Ask Susan who I am. It's a great group run by our nut and WLS manager, and it's free.

There is also a patient-run support group in San Leandro the 3rd Sat. of the month and one in Oakland and I think there is one in Redwood City too.

i haven't been but live close to Good sam.
