Rose, I live in PA but went to Dr. Irgau after I looked up his qualifications and surgery record. My surgery was 3 weeks ago and I feel great. I'm sorry your family isn't being supportive but your major concern has got to be you and your health. You'll get TONS of support and love from the DE boards so you've come to the right place! Rose, Congrats on your decision. Dr. Wynn and Dr. Irgau are the absolute best! In my personal opinion hollywood stars couldnt get better doctors because they are the best Can you tell I am partial to them? I'm so sorry that your family is against you having surgery. I am sure they are very worried about something happening to you. The media has been very sure to show everyone the bad sides of the surgery. It is also very good to be informed about that as well. Unfortunately they dont hear very much about the good aspects of the surgery. My family was not happy about my decision either. My husband was at first but then became very very scared and against it because he realized the great dangers of the surgery. But I really had faith in my doctors and the program. They made sure that I went to all the doctors that I needed to go to in order to diagnose my health and security in order for me to have the procedure. I wish you the best of luck in everything.
