Need help
Hi Michelle -
Much of it depends on the type of job you have. I had a desk job in a semi-private cubicle and took peanut butter and crackers/cheese & crackers as a snack. My lunch varied, a bowl (small) of chili w/cheese. Breakfast is usually a protein drink of some type with a mid morning snack of a protein bar.
Hope this helps out!
Valerie
Michele,
You are just about to progress to "solids? How much longer on purees? A word of caution ... I would be careful to take things that are a little more tried and true when away from home. Things that are easier on your pouch. One of the hardest times for me was when I was introduced to "solids". I had to go backwards for a while, because I could not get the solids to sit well. I was alright in a couple of weeks, but not sure how I would have done, if I was introduced to them while working. Anyway, here are a couple of items that I can think of that may help you out.
Yogurt with added Unflavored Unjury to up the protein
Refried Beans with cheese (can also add unjury)
Cheese and crackers
Soup with added unjury
Cottage cheese
High Protein Jello or pudding
Of course their is always your protein drinks to help fill in a meal away from home.
The packets of soup, oatmeal and etc from the docs office for a grab and go meal away from home.
Sorry, my brain is pretty much on empty tonight, I can't think of anythign else right now, but am sure someone will come with some great ideas.
Hugs,
Tammy
