Topic: RE: Chewable calcium citrate?
I got some samples of Celebrate vitamins from Melting Mama at the Philly OH conference last year, and they were DELICIOUS!!!  Like candy!  If I had to do chewables, I'd really want to do those.  I think they're on par in cost with Bariatric Advantage.  All of the Celebrate chewables were good - even the iron!

Thanks for both of your input.  I actually found a liquid calcium citrate a the Vitamin shoppe that has all the vitamins and minerals required.  Pina Colada flavored.....but really, it's kinda nasty tasting going down.  LOL

I have a chewable calcium citrate with Vitamin D that I bought from Drugstore.com.  But it's a HUGE pill.  And it's chalky.  So I checked with the Nurse Practitioner at Christiana and she recommended the Wellese Liquid Calcium Citrate with D.  They sell it at PMRI.  She said they also sell it at Target, but hubby went up there and couldn't find it.
He did find the Wellese brand liquid vit D at a Rite Aid store, but they didn't have the calcium citrate.  So check Rite Aid stores, or Drugstore.com or call PMRI and see if they have it in stock.

That's awesome, you got the surgery!! Congrats!! Now, the journey begins. It may be a little tough in the begining so hang in and think about the future and what amazing results are ahead. Get rest and listen close to the docs. Good luck and congrats again!!! I hope you start to feel a little better each day :)

Thanks Judy, but there's no Food Lion here in Wilmington.  And since I can't drive for a few weeks, I was going to send my hubby to get them.  But I'm sure, after working almost 12 hours a day, he's not going to want to drive to Bear  :-(

My surgery, according to Dr. Wynn, went very well.  :-)  I'm on a clear liquid diet until tomorrow night and then move up to 4 weeks of pureed.   Of course at the moment, I'm really tired and achey.  But I have Tylenol with codeine that I'll most likely take tonight to help me sleep.

You can get a liquid calcium citrate from Food Lion  in their natural foods section.
How'd you make out from surgery?
Good?

Can anyone give me the name of a good chewable?  I realized tonight (after returning home from gastric bypass surgery) that mine needs to be ground up.  I'd really prefer the chewable type.
