Hi everyone. I had my surgery on Monday and Dr. Irgau says it went perfectly. Unfortunately early this morning I developed some bloody diarrhea, so Dr. Irgau is keeping me here a day longer to keep an eye on my hemoglobin levels.

Sorry ! I gave the wrong information on the code. With the support group leader code you save $30 not $10. I registered 4 people this morning for the event and it only cost $20 a piece instead of $50. Rooms are $109 for 2 people a night. Add $20 per person after that. I booked a room for 4 for $149. We are going up on Thursday and staying 3 nights to see N. Y . Is anyone else registered to go ? Hope to see lots of you guys there. Check out the event section for details. Just checking in from Lower Slower Delaware ! I see we have some new faces on the board. Welcome All ! Since retiring from my full time job June 1st I am working more than ever. I am working 3 partime jobs and keeping very busy. I am working at Stevenson House 3 days a week in the transportation department. I help Debbie clean condos in Ocean City on Saturdays. My best job of all is helping to take care of a 91 year old man who is in hospice care. He has 24 hour care and is very pleasant to be around. I love that job for that is where my heart is. I don't have much free time but I love it. Debbie is healing well. She goes back to the Drs. on September 9th. Hopefully she will be all healed then. We are planning to go to New York for the Obesity Help Convention and invite all to join us. Please let me know if you need a discount code which will save you $10. Wishing all of you pre-ops safe and successful surgeries!
There is a site that was very helpful to me in the beginning, called www.thinnerself.com where you can type in your weight, activity level, measurements . . . it will "predict" how much weight you will lose per week with RNY . . . it helped me stay on track.
I would recommend measuring yourself and charting that data on the site as well, as there will be some weeks where you don't lose any weight (called plateaus) yet you can still see the difference in your measurements.

Dr. Irgau has done surgeries for at least 6 people I know. He has an amazing reputation.
