We all make sacrifices for thngs we want or need. This is no different. But the rewards are unbelievable( Im 14 months out and still cant believe it ).....you will be healthier which should make a longer and happier life. The cost benefit ratio should definitely be a very unablanced scale in the positive. I cant wait to see when you post all your WOW moments....its really a great feeling to do small things like wrap a regular size towel around your body after a shower, to climb a flight of steps without losing yor breath, to buy pants 3sizes smaller hell even 1 size smaller. Everyday can be a challenge but every challenge you meet is a goal accomplished. Celebrate and Enjoy!!!!!

I just had my RNY last Tuesday, and it's funny because I only had to be on clear liquids two days prior, but on those days, I felt like I was going to flip out. I thought, "what the hell am I doing".... I didn't think t hat I could go through with it... but actually i just told myself that I made it this far... I can complete this to get healthy.
It was funny because while i was in the hospital i still watched the food channel (my fave), but this time I kept thinking... is that really a good choice? how can I change that recipe to make it more to my lifestyle change. I'm not sorry. A friend who had it done five years ago told me that at some time right after her surgery , she wanted a piece of pizza in the worst way.. she even cried and asked if she did the right thing... She has no regrets and has been my biggest inspiration. I also have a friend who came to see me that night of surgery and she told me that I will be able to eat things again, but it is just going to take some time. I know that I will be able to eat the foods I love, but just in moderationa and just not right now.... Good luck to you.
