Topic: Glad to see new faces
Good evening all from Lower Slower Delaware. It has been a while since I post so it was nice to see some new faces and new post. Summer has really hit me hard with Bob gone. I think his death finally hit me hard as summer came. Summer was his time of year. We always looked forward to our seasonal friends and neighbors coming down. This year you can really feel his presents gone. I know this will get better with time. Debbie is starting to heal well finally. Things have hit her hard too. God has blessed us with each other to lean on. She looks great. I can't wait for all to see her at the next Victory Meeting. Everyone keep up the good job of keeping the Delaware board going. A big thanks goes to Judy. I owe you a hug !!!! See you lighter. Joanne

Topic: RE: Plastic Surgery BCBS Delaware question
Many things can be medically necessary. Document any rashes, sores or anything caused by excess skin. Back pain documented could make it medically necessary with the chest area. Excess skin could cause hygene problems , which causes irratation, rashes, ect. It might be medically necessary to get that corrected. I hope you get the picture. Basicly you have to show BC/BS it is going to cost more medically if you don't get it done. See you lighter. Joanne

Better late than never, but here are some smoothie options.
My family uses the Magic Bullet more than anything in the kitchen. In fact, we keep an extra machine on hand just in case we burn out the motor on the one in use.
Here is how I make my Chocolate Raspberry smoothie. I use about 1/2 cup of Light Silk Soy Milk, a container of Light&Lively Raspberry yogurt, and then add a scoopful of Unjury chocolate protein mix (about 20g protein). I then add a couple shots of Davinci sugar-free raspberry syrup, a couple of shots of Davinci sugar-free chocolate, a 1/2 cup of frozen raspberries from Trader Joe's. I then fill up the rest of the cup with crushed ice (I have an ice maker on the fridge). Turn the smoothie maker on for about 20 seconds, and voila! Smoothie!
An orange pineapple smoothie consists of 1/2 cup of lite soy milk, a container of Light&Lively Orange Pineapple yogurt, scoop of Unjury vanilla protein, frozen pineapple from Trader Joes, couple shots of sugar-free orange Davinci syrup, and a bunch of crushed ice. Just like an Orange freeze at Charcoal Pit, only extremely healthy.
I also make a Chocolate Peanut smoothie. Again, 1/2 cup of Light Silk Soy Milk, vanilla yogurt, scoopful of protein mix, couple shots of Davinci English Toffee syrup, a glob of Better Than Peanut Butter from Trader Joe's, and crushed ice. Throw in some flax seed meal for a nuttier taste.
I do two smoothies a day...
Hope these were worth the wait.

Welcome Keisha,
I started with an doctor in March but felt rushed and didn't belive that they really cared about my health but the money so I found another doc later in March. I felt much better after attending their seminar. From the first doc appointment in March it took me a few weeks to get in and see all of the follow-up appts because they were so busy. In the beginning of May I had all of the pre-op work done to submit to the insurance. It took about 2 weeks to get the letter back from the insurance that I was approved this was in late May. June 19th I was scheduled for surgery. My doc only had me on 1 day of liquid diet. Thank GOD because I am see other people having to have 2 weeks of liquid diet. I would have been very moody. Also my doc didn't have a weight amount to lose before surgery which I was also glad. The first week after surgery I lost 15lbs. It has been 2 weeks so far and I am down 18 lbs. I have my good days and bad days. The one thing to remember is your mind isn't having surgery so it will play tricks on you. My mind tells me that I am hungrey when I know that I am not.
