We got home from Washington Hospital Center last night about 7p.m. Debbie actually had 4 hernias instead of one. Her surgery was suppose to take 2-3 hrs and it took 6 hrs. She woke up saying she was dying and she hated me.  Do you beleive that ? She ended up getting cut from hip to hip at the bikini line and then up past her belly button. They took 10 lbs off her. She is doing ok. I say ok because she may have some wound issues. I am keeping a close eye on that as I change her bandages. I will up date when there is more to tell. See all lighter. Joanne

Beautiful wedding picture.  Welcome to OH and if you check with your insurance company or pcp they can direct you to wls freindly psychs I am sure.   I understand your mixed feelings, I think everyone has them.  Personally I have one more visit with my nutritionist and then they set a date.  I am trying to loose with out having to do the surgery but if I can't then the battle begins. 

You will be fine and we are here to support you any way we can I have found  a great deal of help of made many new friends here.

Hi All,

I just got the phone call that I have been approved by the insurance company.  Now I have to go see a shrink and cardiologist.  I have my cardiologist  scheduled for next Friday.  Any suggesions who to use in the Newark, DE area for the psychiartic consultation?

I have such mixed feelings - excited but scared because the journey that I have been waiting for it starting to begin.

Will keep you both in my thoughts & prayers. Tell Deb we'll see her next month?? I am sooooo  happy for her. It'll be hard, but she is tough and will get this behind her. Maybe someday I'll be brave enough to do PS too. ((HUGS)) Elissa
