Topic: TGIF Roll Call

Good Morning from Lower Slower Delaware. If anyone is coming to the beach this weekend it is going to be in the 60's but chance of rain all weekend. I have to invite the lurkers to post. I noticed on yesterdays roll call there was 6 people and only one post. Thank you Minimouse. Today is going to be a me day! I have a Dr's appointment and then I am going to get my hair colored and frosted at the beauty school. So much cheaper and I like the job they did the last time. I am trying to let my hair grow out so no cut for me today. Depending on time I might go get a manicure and pedicure too. I don't like the way the beauty school does that. I want to go to Byler's too so I better get on the ball. What are you doing for yourself today ? Ok guys lets get posting. Remember we are in this journey together ! WOW only one month to go! Good for you. I am sure you will be just as busy then as you are now. I have at least two years to go before I can move to DE fulltime...can't wait. I am back on the bandwagon after a long hiatus. have 50 lbs to lose. While discouraging, it feels good to be back on tract. Thanks for being here

Topic: New Life WLS Support Group

New Life WLS Support Group will be meeting Wednesday May 6th and Wednesday May 20th. On the 6th we will be doing some taste testing of protein shake recipes. Are you bored with your shakes ? Come see how to make a shake you will love in just a couple of minutes. Do you have a favorite recipe? Bring it and share with us all. See all at Oak Orchard Community Church on the 6th at 7pm. Well Guys it is just me checking in from Lower Slower Delaware. I see the message board is getting slow again. It is time for all the lurkers to come out again. Alright I am guilty myself. I have not been on line much. Tomorrow is May 1st and it is exactly one month until I retire from my fulltime job ! June 1st is my BIG DAY ! I am still going to work there parttime. 2 or 3 days a week. I know I will miss working fulltime but feel I am needed elsewhere at the present. I am still trying to get my life together since Bob's passing. I still have to clean out his stuff but I am not ready to do it yet. My grandkids are going thru some issues. Since they feel like their parents abondoned them and then with PopPop's death they feel like everyone is leaving them. They are so afraid I am going to go too. When I get frozen at work 2 days straight they worry when they don't see me. Once I go parttime I don't have to worry about that anymore for I can't be frozen. They both are in counseling and that takes up some of my time. I have been trying to spend more time with them too. They keep busy which keeps me busy too. I have been going to physical therapy for 2 months, 3x's a week. I am hoping for a busy summer. I plan on catching up on spending some time with my family and friends. Ok enough about me. What is everyone else up to? How is everyone's weightloss going ? What is everyone's plans for summer ? Has everyone been eating healthy, getting in your water and exercising ? Are you struggling ? Remember you are not alone and we are all in this journey together! So lets hear from all ! Where are you at in your personal journey ? Where are you headed ? See you lighter. Joanne

Leslie, We have been very busy. We went with my group to Ocean City over the weekend. It was a really nice trip. We got in lots of exercise and we all ate very healthy. We just relaxed Friday night. Saturday we walked from FSK Resort over to the outlets. Walked them and came back and ate lunch. Then we went and did some go green stuff, got in the pool and hot tub and sat around and talked. Saturday night we went to the boardwalk. Then came back and ate Dinner. Went back to the pool. Sunday we eat breakfast, packed up and then we went back to the boardwalk to walk. We ended our trip at panera's for lunch. All had a really good time. I have been working alot at work too. We are really looking forward to the OH Event in NY in October. Debbie has her surgery May 14th. I retire from my job June 1st. I am still going to work parttime there. After we came back from our trip we have fixed my washer and put new linolium down in my laundry room. We are both really turning into handywomen. LOL! ( YES WE CAN FIX IT !!!! ). We will have to go to Niagara Falls as a group sometime. It is beautiful. I have to admitt the mountains were beautiful on the way up but coming back we went to a friend's house in Pa and I got tired of looking at mountains. See you lighter. Joanne

Remember this was a decision we made to get healthy. Margaret is a great tool that we have available to us. FOR FREE!!!!!!

Take this oppurtunity to get back on track and re-commit yourself. Plus I for 1 get re-energized
when I talk about WL issues and hear others in the same boat as I.

I've heard from a few of the oldies. I can't wait to see you all. Maybe a trip after to Panera's and Trader Joe's. Let me know if anyone is interested.
