Hi BJ and everyone!
We had a great Easter weekend!
First, the ghetto bullies that pick on my kids moved out of my neighborhood!
Got the house all cleaned up, both floors at one time. shoo lots of cleaning.
I hosted the family Easter dinner. My brother and sisters made a pack when my mom died to continue the holiday dinners together. I made dinner for 18 of us. It was great!

Is it ever going to start warming up around these parts? The sun is out in full force today in southern DE but the wind sure is chilly. I want to get out and work in the yard but my fibromyalgia is rearing up and the cold weather is not helping matters.
I had been doing way too much stress-eating over the past four weeks and although I'm gaining, losing and gaining the same 10 pounds over and over again, it is redistributing itself to where my legs are these huge tree-trunks, all jiggly and flabby. For the first time in a long time, I've really felt FAT again. The flab is spilling over my bra band and waistband.
To top things off, somebody who hadn't seen me in a couple of months commented on the weight gain as well. (For me, it's one thing if *I* can feel it in the way my clothing fits . . . and quite another when it's noticable to others LOL.)
So . . . last Thursday I weighed in at 183 and that was an AHA moment -- haven't ever been this high. Time to do something before I get totally out of control. The kids are now off on spring break so that will make it even harder to keep food in the house for them. My willpower is non-existent -- earlier this week I actually ATE their easter bunnies out of their hidden baskets and had to replace them.
Yesterday I stuck to nothing but protein, that has always been a way to get me at least jumpstarted in the right direction, today I plan to do the same.

Topic: fil/overfill - cost
my last visit to Dr. Peters/CHRIAS was my last - at all costs. i went back to Dr. Peters/CHRIAS on 3/18.
i found out i have a 4 cc band. i was at 1.75 cc.
i have paid cash for the hospital, anesthesia, surgeon, appointments and fills. my insurance's reply has been "expenses for weight modification including appetite suppressants are not covered by the terms of your contract". (bite me!)
i wanted a fill. i asked for 1 cc fill. Dr. Peters said it was too much.
we didn't know how much was in the band since there was an error in my records. first the band was emptied. then my requested fill was put in. oops too much. i found out immediately since the water would not go down.
Dr. Peters said he would take .5 out but would have to charge me. I thought he was kidding. he had just emptied the band. put in the requested fill. then had to remove some fill since it was too tight.
i ended with a total of 2.25 out of 4 cc.
i was charged a double visit. OMG!!!! (DON'T MEAN TO WHINE BUT - I AM FOOTING THE BILL HERE, I AM UNEMPLOYED, I AM TRYING. . .)
just wanted to vent. business is business but wanted to warn/let others know.

Ok so i have scrolled through some of the last few weeks to see what has been going on . It looks like some people have been having good things and others are still strruggling and dealing with loss and unemployment. Im sorry to hear so many rough times are still out there. I hope things start moving in a positive direction .
IMy computer was riddled with viruses so it's not been working well. we tried a couple things but ended up restoring to factory settings. so i saved my pictures, files, and music onto a flash drive....or so i thought. We checked it twice and it was good biut when i went o add them back to my computer nothing was there I lost everything....it was kinda heart breaking to lose all my pictures.
Im in a 7 day stretch of work so thats a lot of fun. Im taking the kids to see sesame street tomorrow at the bob .
Im still doingmy online classes which was a bit of a struggle with my computer not workign right, i was running around trying to get assignments done. I mbnot doing so well right now but i have a few weeks to get my grade up I passed my ;ast 2 classes with a B in both..yeah.
So im sorry Ive havent been on here now with my computer working it should be easier.
So what is everyone doing for the easter weekend?..i see joanne is off on vacation good for them they need it .

Hi Joanne, I hope you have a safe and wonderful vacation. I will pray for traveling mercies for all of you. I am going to have to come to your meeting one of these months. I miss my support group meetings and right now my eating habits are out of control once again. Between the stress of losing Doug's mom, my aunt's illness and me still being unemployed, if it isn't nailed down I am eating it. Not good at all. I need to get refocused and get back on track.

There will not be a meeting on April 15th. Debbie and I will be out of town next week. The kids are on Spring Break and I have Vacation so Debbie and I have decided to drive up to Niagra Falls for a couple of days and just get away with the kids. Beleave me , Debbie, the kids and I really need this right now. We will be back on the 17th. We will meet again on the 1st Wednesday in May. See all lighter. Joanne
