YAY!!!!! I'm so excited that you found a site for the meeting.  I wrote it down and hoping to get there.  And I'll try to come up with some stuff that has changed for me since my surgery (other than the weight and BMI of course LOL).

CHRIAS are the only Doctor's here in Delaware at this time that I am aware of.

Surgery is done at Christiana Hospital or St. Francis Hospital. Dr's. Irgau, Wynn, Peters.

There  phone # is 302-892-9900. They have office's in Syrmna, Christiana and North

Wilmington.  I would check with there office to see if they can support you.

Hope this helps. Elissa

I had the TSA's  talking to each other about my photo a few years back. They called over other agents at Philadelphia airport. I have to admit I felt pretty good about it.  I had to explain that I'd lost a lot of weight. I  also had to show another picture ID. I do have an updated  passport that they believed.  The next  time I went to DMV the photo was updated. I think there would have been  a charge to update just the photo. ISo I waited for renewal.  t's been awhile. LOL

Hi everyone.  I'm interested in knowing if there are any surgeons down by the shore.  I presently live in NJ and hopefully when I retire next year want to move back to Delaware down by shore area.  After doing a google search I haven't been able to find any doctor's in the area that can monitor me for fills, etc.

Does anyone know of any doctors?  thanks for any help.

Hey all...

Hadn't head anything on the status of the Healthy Journey Support Group recently.  We are slated to get together a week from today.  Is the meeting still on or are we still in a holding pattern?

Hope to hear from someone soon...

I realized she probably thought I was a cancer patient or some other wasting disease because she was trying to be quiet about it.  Of course I had to bust out a chuckle and tell her that yes I had indeed lost a lot of weight in my face, and all over, from recent WLS.
She was instantly both relieved and curious.  After the usual questions, she told me that I really should look into getting a new license photo.  She could have refused to take the ID since it doesn't look like me in the photo.  It had been a while since I had looked at my license photo, and indeed, it doesn't look like me.
My license isn't up for renewal until next May.  Anyone else updated their picture before needing it for boarding a plane other ID related stuff?
My daughter had trouble getting a passport becaue she dyes her hair very dark brown and she is a natural blonde.  The hair color change changed her look completely.

I waited til my renewal to get my driver's license.....but I did get a new work ID photo.

Congrats on your transformation to a beautiful swan.

When we were at the last PMRI meeting with Dr Peters he said that he tells his patients to take 10,000 of vitamin D a day.  It was one of the questions that I had for him.

Hi Bronwen....I am taking two doses of the Citracel calcium citrate + D.  One dose (two pills) is Calcium 630 MG and vitamin D 500 IU. So, total Calcium is now 1260 mg, and total vitamin D is 11,000 when I add my separate D.
