Do you like pumpkin pie? Yes? Then you will love this!
1/4 c. canned pumpkin
2 Tbsp. lowfat cream cheese
cinnamon (to taste)
3-4 packets splenda
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
a few ice cubes
4-5 ounces water (more or less depending on the consistency you like)
Blend in magic bullet or blender.
This is yummy. Tastes just like pumpkin pie filling and I can't taste the protein at all.

Rob,
This is so true! How many of us reached goal and maintained or came close? I fall in the came close category. I got with in 8lbs of my goal and just couldn't figure out why I couldn't loose those extra 8.
I'm going to regroup, and go back to the basic's!
It's never too late!
Another good post Rob.

Topic: Losing it?
So I'm at a meeting last night and there is a woman who has lost 70 pounds over the last 4 months. She has so much positive energy and just wanted to make me stand up and cheer.
So what happens to that energy. Why is it we lose that energy as we draw near to our goal? We change all the little things that have made that initial weight loss seem so easy. We start worrying about those last 5-10 pounds.
So let's bottle up that energy from the first couple of months. Put it in a closet and store it so we can pull it out after the honeymoon and reuse it. A lot of people are experiencing the same stall that the Delaware board is seeing. Maybe putting some of that energy into sharing your energy on the boards will help kick start your journey and get you back on track. It can be plenty of fun when your losing and working toward your goal, so let's bring the fun back.
Time to get the state moving again. Try posting, you might enjoy it.

Congratulations on your surgery and welcome to our bench. We don't spend much time sitting around, so there is usually plenty of room on the bench. Also, as everyone keeps getting smaller, we keep making more room on the bench.
Now is the time to commit yourself to getting out and walking, sipping, and doing more walking. Any questions, just ask away. Everyone has them, it's just that most never actually ask them so that everyone can get the answers.
Not sure about the baby food. I would stick to real foods and just blend them up real well. Chili might be your best friend. There are plenty of great options to puree. Sugar-free pudding with protein powder is also an easy alternative to get in your protein boost. My favorite was butterscotch. Let us know how your making out and keep posting.

Hey Rob,
It's me again...
Commitment & Opportunity: these sound like good building blocks for SUCCESS.
I'm glad you referred to the surgery as a tool. Some think its a cure all. The surgery is only as good a you make it.
Keep them coming Rob! I'm liking these!

Welcome to the Looser's bench.
Walk, sip & breathe. Walk, sip & breathe. Keep that up and then walk as much as you can.
I too bought baby food, and gave it away to a girl that was gonna have a baby. I never ate it. I did oatmeal, applesauce, cottage cheese, mashed potatoes & yogurt for the 1st month. Add smoothies to your daily diet, add a littlle protein and YUMMMMM. I lived on Sugar free popsicles too. I really didn't crave food for a long time. Hope you are feeling okay. Rest when you get tired. Ask questions if your not sure. Keep up the good work. The easy part is over, your journey has just begun. This is the hard part. Stay positive & stay focused. I did well. Love Christiana Hospital. Not a fan of being woken up and made to walk at 4AM, but they have a job to do. :)
It was funny. They offered me a sedative before going into the OR which I declined. I wasn't really feeling nervous at all. I don't remember being in recovery, but I remember when I remembered being there which is weird.
So Friday is 4 days out. Guess it's time to go puree. I've stocked up on baby food and jell-o.
Thanks for the good thoughts. Look forward to being around here more often now that I'm on the other side so I can help others.
