I'll have to try the cottage cheese.  It has neer been my favorite stuff.

Think I'll try freezing some of the Arizona blueberry and see how it works in a smoothie.

Always fun to experiment.

Hopefully we got through the hard part of the heat!

We've been hitting the roads at 6am this week.  It's not bad when we start, but by the time we fini****'s not real nice.

Topic: Commitment?
Went to a seminar for potential weight loss surgery patients.  Dr. Peters preaches commitment to be successful.

I think you you also have to take advantage of the OPPORTUNITY that the new tool gives you.  Get out there and exercise.  Eat the right stuff.   Follow the surgeon's rules (no smoking, no drinking, take your vitamins, follow up with your surgeons and doctors).

Sounds simple, so what's causing your heartburn?

Hey Rob!
How's it going?
Blueberry and pomegranate sounds yummy.  I get an Arizona zero calorie blueberry drink that's great so I can't imagine adding pomegranate to it.  That would be way too good!

I actually ordered sampler pack of Nectar drinks.  Fuzzy Navel was great!

I've been stuck on Penn Maid non fat pineapple cottage cheese lately.  I would suppose because its hot out and the cottage cheese is cold and refreshing.
12 oz Nonfat Pineapple Cottage Cheese

Serving: 1/2 cup
Calories 80
Sodium 410mg
Fat 0
Carbs 8g
 (sugar 6g)
Protein 12gr!

Not too shabby!

Stay cool!

Hi Marylou,
Congratulations on your surgery!
How are you making out?
We are in the process of moving one of our New Castle support groups, so stay tuned for a date.
Hang in there, seems like the first two weeks were the toughest.

Rob...
as hot as it has been, one would have to go outside at 4am not to get all hot and sweaty!  This heat is the pits.

I had a meeting at Longwood Gardens today and after wards spot check our vending machines there.
It was so stinking hot that I couldn't even enjoy the flowers!

Commitment is the goal!

So Wednesday has come and gone.  Hot and humid.  It is definitely a time to remember to stay hydrated!  Clear water is always the best, and plenty of it.  How did the rest of you fare?

I invented a new smoothie today...  Blueberry and pomergranite!  What a blast, and it is definitely has some good stuff in it.

Topic: Newark area support group??
 Hello,

I had a vertical sleeve gastrectomy on June 15 with Dr. Aceves in Mexicali. I am looking for a support group in the Newark area.  I work in Elkton MD so northern DE is hard for me unless it is later like 6:30 or 7 pm.

I am only 1 week post op and cold use some support

Thanks

Marylou

OK.  It's hot and humid, so it's time to recommit yourself.  Too many excuses.  If you can't get to a gym, you need to figure out how to get out earlier in the morning to get in your exercise or late at night.

Remember the surgeons mantra:  Commitment, Commitment, Commitment!

Have a great day and stay healthy and hydrated...
