I too enjoyed the support group meeting on Monday and would LOVE to attend on Tuesdays, but I run agility with my dogs and Tuesday nights I have class.

I am going to the St. Francis support group on Monday.  Do you know of any other support groups that are not on a Tuesday?  I tried one in Harford County but it wasn't very active!!

So I had been delayed from my original surgery date at the end of April due to a sleep study and a delay in getting an appointment to the pulmonolgist in the first place. Sleep study was done. I have sleep apnea. I've gotten my CPAP. I now sleep with it every night.

Last Tuesday the Pulmonologist finally cleared me, then I went to PMRI to get final clearance. I was nervous because I hadn't been weighed in 6 weeks....but I had actually lost 10 lbs in that period. I am now down 60 lbs to 453 since January. That's a big victory and a sign that I am going the right direction.

Final pre-surgery consult with Dr. Wynn on Tuesday, then it's up to Aetna. I hope to get approved soon. I want to know for sure it's showtime on June 22nd ASAP. Cross fingers.
Congrats on your 60 pound weight loss.....that is awesome news.  I will be keeping my fingers crossed that Aetna will approve your surgery so that you can have your surgery scheduled.  Keep us posted.

Hi everyone.....just getting in from working out at the gym.  It sure is harder with not having the trainer doing it one on one with me.

Monday's meeting was great.  It was so nice to see everyone.  Dr Peters did mention some things that I never realized.....saying that if anyting goes wrong health wise to consider the gastric bypass to possibly be the cause....and here I have been going to all these other specialists.  Found out about a test that might give me the answer to my health issue.  Three cheers for Dr. Peters.

If anyone has directions and landmarks for the meeting at Kirkwood Library....can you post them.  Remember I am directionally challanged.

I know where Kirkwood Fitness is and AC Moore is on Kirkwood Highway.......so if you can give me directions from either spot.....I should be able to find it.....

We had an excellent meeting at PMRI on Monday.  The biggest problem is that they literally lock the  doors up at 8pm so you need to hustle out of the building.  Elissa, Rose, and a bunch of other people attended.   Dr. Peters conducted his "Clinical Issues" talk.  It's really great, and is a good reminder that your never out of the woods.   Need to keep up with the bloodwork, nutrition, and exercise if you want to be successful. And don't ever take up smoking again!

Hope to see everyone soon at Kirkwood Library next Tuesday.

Hey Joanne,
I remember when our computer was broken.  It was crazy.  I had to bring my work lap top home for everyone to use.  The kids were bugging!
I'm so glad its not so hot like the weekend.  That was miserable.

I planted about 25 strawberry plants last year and this year, I picked so many strawberries everyone was sick of them (except for the the dogs, they love them).
I made SF jam, strawberry shortcake, sliced strawberries, added them to many fruit salads.  I even tried to give my neighbor some.
I'll soon forget how many we had and next year I'll again wait with eager anticipation for the first berry to ripen!

Nice seeing you on line,
Judy

Best of luck to you.
This will be well worth the wait!
Having the surgery was the best thing I ever did for MYSELF.
Just remember everything you learned and work the tool like you should and you'll do great!
Keep us posted.
