For those of you who are prayer warriors (and I know we have quite a few), please pray for my Daddy.  He's been sick for months and his doctor just kept pushing different Rx's at him.  He finally saw someone new who actually ran some tests to find out why this otherwise healthy 70 yo man was miserable!  They found that he has Acute Luekemia!  She (the new doc) put him in the hospital immediately and started 7 days of intense chemo treatment.   He's been so sick for so long that his heart is not very strong and that is a concern, but they are going ahead with the treatment.  He's a tough old bird and isn't ready to ca**** in yet -- please, please, please pray for him.

Lola... first of all it makes me furious and sad that he was misdiagnosed for so long and just treated with the old "try this pill, see if it works" routine.  That is so wrong.

Now, my prayer is this... that your father be given supernatural comfort and strength to pull through chemo and go on to live a the life a tough ol' bird should have!  Amen.

Take care of yourself, too, hon.

Heavenly Father,  Please be with Lola's father, surround him with comfort and hold him in your loving arms.  Help him to be strong and fight this affliction.  Lord, I also ask that you comfort his family.  Keep them positive and assured that everything is being done to cure the man they love.  Be with the Doctors and Nurses that they will treat this disease, curing it and making him strong.  In your Son's name, Amen.

Lola, I'm sorry that your Daddy is so ill!  Know that he is in good hand and they will take the best possible care of him.  Be strong for your Daddy.  I will keep him and your family in my prayers.

Oh, dear. I am sorry for the diagnosis, but happy that he finally has one. How scary this must be for all of you. I'm sending up prayers for your family and your daddy especially.
