Darcy and Baby Drew are HOME...WOO HOO!
WOO HOO...they are FINALLY home where they belong! Darcy is doing fine. A bit...NO...A LOT sore (she said it is not as bad as the DS though). She is in 7th heaven because her precious new baby is "nursing". This may not seem like a big deal to some, but she tried to nurse with both of her other babies and both would not take to her. DREW is a "natural"! AND oh what a PERFECT baby he is...uh oh...I feel a GUSHING MOMENT coming on...so I will contain myself and give the UPDATE INFO first!
They got home around 5 this evening. Darcy is getting around pretty well...a bit slow (kinda reminds me when she came home from her DS Surgery, only she is not bent over holding her tummy). Her hubby told me a little while ago that she was snuggled in under her "CASTLE OF PILLOWS" in bed and sleeping comfortably...THANKS TO THE DRUGS of choice...hehe...DOC'S orders of course!
Drew had a full tummy, snuggled closely to Darcy and both were on CLOUD NINE! I cannot wait for her to be able to come on here and TELL YOU ALL ABOUT HIM. I feel like a babbling idiot when I start talking about him, so I will try to contain myself tonite...BUT I WILL SAY...SHE HA**** THE "JACKPOT" AGAIN! It still amazes me to see her with THREE children! WHAT A GREAT LOOKING FAMILY GOD HAS BLESSED HER WITH!
Gotta get to bed...I am getting up early to head over to her house to help her out with her day care for the next few weeks. Her day care kids start arriving around 6:00 and then mine start around 6:30...It is well past my bedtime, but I just wanted to let cha all know SHE AND DREW ARE DOING WONDERFUL! Good Night!

Ohhhhhhh, I'm so glad Darcy and Drew are home. I hope y'all can get some pics up soon!
Take care.
(I am really looking forward to being a Grandma, too.)
Well, I took LOTS of them at the hospital...of Drew , of Darcy and Drew, of Eli and Drew, of Daddy and Drew...but hmmmmmmmmm couldn't figure out how to take PICTURES of "AMMA" and Drew!!! Baby in one hand, camera in the other...hmmmmmmmmm...guess I am just not THAT coordinated!!!!!!!
haha! I'm sure Darcy will be posting pictures as soon as she is feeling more like herself...until then...JUST IMAGINE the most beautiful baby in the world...then you'll know what he looks like!

Thanks Angie, for the update. Your Darcy is SOOOO lucky to have a mama like you, and her beautiful grandchild are blessed that you are their grandma. Please tell Darcy we love her, and keep up with that nursing! I nursed all three of mine and two of them got off to a rough start, so I know how frustrating it can be. I was quite active in LaLeche League, so tell Darcy if she has any questions, to feel free to email me.

Thank you for your sweet words. But it is "I" who is blessed and very fortunate to have Darcy for my very own and her sweet little boys that she "shares" with me. She has made it FUN being their "AMMA" as she has encouraged them to call me...makes me feel special!
I am sooooo glad she gets to experience the "nursing" with Drew. I nursed both of my daughters and LOVED EVERY MINUTE...ok...maybe not the first two weeks of pins and needles feeling...but EVERY MINUTE after that...WHAT a beautiful experience...She is doing fine and so is Drew...BOTH ARE PROS after only three days!

Thanks for the update, Angie. I can't wait to see a picture of Drew! He sounds so precious!!
Poor Darcy! I had Richie via c-section 3 years ago and I think I'm doing so much better with the DS than the c-section. Send them both my love!!

YOU GO GIRL...."16" pounds! GOOD FOR YOU!
This is Darcy's THIRD C-section and she said it is so much easier than the DS surgery! She tried to have her second one the normal way, but after "52" straight hours of labor and ONLY dialating to a "2", the "C" was her only option...and MOST WELCOME by that time...so there was no doubt that THIS third baby would come "C" as well. She is a trooper though and doing great...all pain considered!
Pictures will come soon, I am sure.
Yea! Thanks for the update, Angie. I'm happy to hear they are home and settling in.
I dreamed last night that I got to see Drew. He was gorgeous - had a head full of dark hair and lots of teeth. ROFL!! I must have eaten something very strange last night.
I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of them. You take it easy, too, and don't wear yourself out.
MY PLEASURE! Updating is the EASY part...Keeping my "gushing" under control is the HARD PART...hehehe...but with so little time to respond to all of you wonderful people who care so much about Darcy, I will KEEP MY GUSHING to myself for a while...hehe...
Your dream sounds HILARIOUS!...Actually, you had the GORGEOUS "right"...but he has NO TEETH and think light colored hair (will probably be blond--toe head like his mom and brothers--although Darcy now has brown hair, she always was BLONDE till she had kids...go figure!?!?!?) Hmmmmm. I wonder WHAT you ate that made you dream???
I can't wait till she gets the pictures online either.
I'm trying not tow wear myself out...but THAT's what we moms do best...hehe...Talk at cha later!
