APPROVED!!!!!!

FINALLY after 6+ years i have finally won my battle to get the DS!!!! I was denied years ago and denied appeal.  I then tried to save money up to self pay while i was also attending university.  Then I graduated and switched jobs (JPMorgan) and noticed the ins AETNA did NOT cover wls.  But then in september 2006 they changed their minds and covered the DS! I finished the criteria whi*****luded a supervised diet, psych eval, and paper work. I got denied b/c some nurse wrote my weight down wrong in 11/2005 (transposition..exp. put 12 instead of 21).  So i was denied b/c they said i lost 77lbs which dropped my bmi way under 35. And you have to be 40 or more for 5 consecutive years.  I was gutted.  So I looked everywhere for any other medical record i could find and i found Primacare. I had hives for almost the entire year of 2005 and now im thankful b/c on 12/28/2005 i went to Primacare and they showed my correct weight.  My appeal process was hell, i will spare you the details but i was getting different answers and delays and it was very frustrating.  I was so low yesterday...i decided to just let it go and stop fighting...just wait and see what happened. Then this morning i got the magic call.  I thought id be more excited...everyone around me is so excited...my mom cried. I am more relieved than anything else. I was just so tired and so drained.  I was going to self pay b/c fighting ins drains you so much but i gave it one more shot when i started this job. And im SOOOOOOOO glad i did.   Anyway...YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  My date is March 5!!!!! wow...now i do feel like crying...*shakes it off* Its finally my turn...God didnt forget about me after all

Thank you Jenny!  Im so greatful for all the support. i feel like a big weight () has been lifted off of my chest...like i can finally breathe and relax...everything is going to be okay...

  OMG, I can't believe what I'm hearing!!!  CONGRATULATIONS!!  I know you're in shock!  March 5!!!!!????  Hey, I told you you'd beat me to the switch!  What I would give to have gotten at your age!!!  Woo-Hoo!!!!!

Leeann, Im so glad i beat you. lol        Im tired of being the "forever pre" girl March 5 cannot get here fast enough!

I thought Alison was the queen of fighting for the DS, but you have blown her away.  You have got to be really shocked, but the reality will set in soon.  You are going to be a great DSers because you definitely have discipline!   Yeah Haley!

I can only hope to be as successful as you Kathy.  So when is it im supposed to get my freak out? B/c right now im on cloud nine...
