My Daddy Passed Away...
My Dear Friends --
It's with great sadness that I report to you that my Dad... at the very young age of 69... has passed from this world. He died the way he lived... fast and furiously, making his own choices and blazing his own trail. It was only about 5 weeks ago that we found out he was terminal. He had enough time to get his affairs in order, say what needed to be said -- and hear what we needed to say. I was blessed to help care for him in his last days and will cherish those precious memories forever. It was an honor to help care for him.
He was home and lovingly cared for by 3 of his children -- we were all at his side when his spirit left this world.
He will be greatly missed by 4 loving children, 15 grandchildren (including one who met him on the other side) and 2 great-grandchildren. His legacy will always be found in the determined, free-spirit that lives in all of us.
Thank you for all your prayers. I know I couldn't have made it through this trying time without you.
Dear Lola,
I am so sorry to hear about your dear daddy. It is nice to know that you were able to be with him during his final days. I, too was with my dad when he passed away last year (1yr ago tomorrow). Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this time of sadness.
God Bless!

Oh Lola, I am so sorry for your loss. It is sort of a weepy day for me. My dad suddenly died 38 years ago and I lost my mother almost 2 years ago from Alzheimers. When I get to feeling lonely without them, I am reminded they are finally running around heaven together again, playing like they did when I was a kid. That's my greatest memory!
May God give you comfort and grace during the next weeks and months.
