My Daddy Passed Away...

Lola, My deepest condolences to you and your family. I know you will cherish and draw comfort from the fact that you were there to share his final days and ease his passing from this world.

My Dear Lola,  What a loving God we have and how wonderful it is that HE decided to give such a very special blessing to both your dad and to your family. To be granted the gift of "goodbye" is very special.  Most of the time, when God calls us home, it is instant and without warning. We are not often given a chance to get our houses in order and to say good bye to our loved ones.  Praise His Name for all things. I know you are hurting for your loss. I am glad that you were able to be gathered around him and communicating your love and closeness.  You'll be in my prayers in the coming days and weeks. My PM and email are always open, too.

When its my turn to go, I wanna go just like he did, surrounded by my children and their love.  It is only goodbye for a short while,   and the reunion is gonna be grand!!!  (he willll probably ride up on a Harley)  Hang in there sweetie, I know you are gonna miss him like crazy.

I was just thinking of you yesterday and wondered how you were doing during this turbulent time.   I am so sad about your loss, but also know the blessing of having a brief time of suffering, as my wonderful, young-at-heart grandpa passed three years ago in much the same way.  Your words about your dad bring tears to my eyes.   Please take comfort in knowing that so many of us have and will still hold you in our hearts and prayers.    You must have had a really special dad, because he raised a WONDERFUL daughter!
