My Daddy Passed Away...

Lola, please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.   Your posting of your father is truly sad but beautiful, and he has obviously instilled elegance and charm and much love as it showed through here in your posting of him. ((((Lola))) I am so sorry to hear of your father's passing. He sounds like a real doll and like he enjoyed life, short as it was. I am sure you found it gratifying to be there and assist him in the end. I had to miss my dad's funeral last June, as my hubby had just been Dx'd with cancer and  had had surgery. It was tough to have to miss it, and I am so glad you and the others were there when he passed to that great other side. The Broken Chain 

       We little knew that morning, that God

Was going to call your name.

In life we loved you dearly,

In death we do the same.

It broke out hearts to lose you,

You did not go alone

For part of us went with you,

The day God called you home,

You left us peaceful memories,

Your love is still our guide,

And though we cannot see you,

You are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken,
