By all means, enjoy a couple bites of grits -- but concentrate on finishing the shrimp if anything.

After rethinkingn I may just do a load of butta and cheese on this round of grits and work my way up to the shrimp...look at Bobby Flay's Shrimp and Grits recipe on Foodnetwork...he sautes the shrimp in chopped up bacon bits.  How's that for you Ms. Foodie?

Well, being that I'm the only girl who grew up on the gulf coast hating seafood, the bacon idea just made it palatable.  I'll eat the grits and bacon, and pass you the shrimp.  I've heard that they are very easy to eat, BTW.

I had cheese grits as soon as I got home. I added extra milk and make them soupy but they were yummy and they sat well on my tummy.

Grits work fine! I'm a big shrimp and grits fan too---tons of butter and they slide right down. I still have weird cravings: for awhile it was Taco Bell Pintos N Cheese (YUCK! but it was all I wanted postop), now its Buffalo Chicken in any shape I can get it. Hang in there, it will get better!

I too have a buffallo chicken addiction! I can't get enuff and I crave it! In the isle that has all the packages of gravy etc. there is a McCormicks Buffallo seasoning and a hickory bbq seasoning. I buy 1 of each, a family pack of wings (4 pounds) and put the wings in a bag and sprinkle with seasonings, shake, put on a foil lined cookie sheet and back at 400 for 25 minutes..

Serve with bleu cheese dressing...I add xtra bleu cheese crumbles to mine.

LOVE IT!!!!

Had some chicken salad last night...set kinda heavy but I didn't add any mayo...I think that might help.

Hijack: I get strange cravings too - very definite ones - and then after eating something a few times, I get sick of eating whatever I craved and don't want to eat it for a while.     I was on this KFC Crispy Strips binge for a while, and now I can barely look at one.   I think I'll never get tired of Buffalo wings though. My current cravings have been for fruit and lots of veggies.
