Don't worry about the carbs right now...you are so not going to be able to eat enough of them to harm your weightloss at this point.  I actually think those are on "The List" that Dr. B's nut gives for the soft food phase anyway.  And see by adding the cheese...there's some protein right there, so don't fret..enjoy! Okay, don't laugh but I've never had grits in my whole life.....yeah I know...Yankees right!?  I do like Cream of Wheat though (or at least I used to as a kid), but only if it had lots of lumps in it.  LOL

You would like grits without lumps, I bet.  When you come to TX, we will get you or fix you some grits...

Too funny!  Mine was lumpy Coco Wheats (never had grits, either!)

I'm not a southern gal, but I MUST be one at heart, because I love grits and eat them frequently, even for dinner.    I bake mine - cook 'em up then mix in an egg or two with some garlic and cheese.    Lots o' salt and pepper.   I tolerate grits very well, because they are of corn.  I'd say go for it.  You could even put some unflavored protein powder in them and get a great dose of protein.

Can you eat Girls Raised In The South?  Why, YES!  Yes, you can!  hehehehehe!

I say if you're craving cheese grits and shrimp, eat cheese grits and shrimp!

One of our friends had a GF none of the rest of us really LIKED.  But we DID like him.  Yet, she was ALWAYS with him;  if he went somewhere, you could count on her being there as well.  Now, in the South, grits just comes with.  You order steak and eggs, and you get grits too.  It comes with.  You order pork chops, salad and fries -- and you will get grits also.  It just comes with. Is it any wonder, then, that we started referring to this GF as Grits?

Ahh, a little morning dose of perversity...I like that as much as shrimp/grits.  He, he.
