All this talk of southern cooking makes me think of our friend Paula Deen
Everybody say it with me now.... "BUDDA!" (butter with a Paula accent)

Grits.  Sounds good to me for this morning's breakfast.

I love Shrimp and Grits.  It's called Low Country food.  I use a recipe that has Country Ham.

I didn't try grits but I ate alot of cream of wheat with 1/2 & 1/2 and splenda when I got home. I would make it in a big coffee mug and drink it over an hour. Maple and brown sugar flavor was good too! It really filled me up and felt comforting in my new tummy.

I was eating chicken after 1 week so maybe the shrimp will work well too. Just try a little bit and see how it feels.

Let us know how it goes,

A really SMALL portion of cheese grits might sit very well, but you're a little early out for shrimp. Try maybe ONE and see how it goes. Don't underestimate how heavy these things can sit, especially when the grits are all buttery and cheesy. Think rock-in-your-belly as a potential result and keep the portion size experimental for the first time. If they sit well, you've added a new food :-D.

I grew up on the Iowa Minnesota border, and in my house it ain't breakfast if it doesn't have grits! Course I blame my addiction on the years I spent in Alabama and Georgia, courtesy of Uncle Sam. Joyce
