Can you go into the operating room with a French pedicure?
This is probably the girliest question ever, but, can you go under the knife with a French pedicure? I know you can't have any polish on your fingernails, but wasn't sure if the same rule applied to your toes. My surgical instructions state to make sure the polish is off of each of your index fingers and that the nails be trimmed short. No mention of the tootsies.
Anybody have any experience? I wanted to treat myself to one this week prior to surgery, but didn't want to wake up with naked toes, ha!

I'm pretty sure that the purpose for having the polish removed from the index fingers is for them to hook up the sensors they usually place on them. That little pulse/oxygen thingy. That should have nothing to do with your toes. I think you'll be good to go. Put up a pic of the toes. I bet they are cute!!!

Your fingernails should not have any nail polish because they check of cynosis while you are under anesthesia. But, haven't heard anything about the toes.
Call your surgeon to confirm whether it is ok or not. Each surgeon and their protocol varies. Best to get it straight from the horse's mouth.
