Thanks Val for that info.  I will keep it in mind if needed.

I spoke to cutomer service yesterday because as I expected when I checked my mail, I had all these EOB"s stating that the claims were over paid and denied.  She stated that she thought it was an overpayment, and that payment will be made but in order for that to happen, they must first reverse all the original charges, to then correctly pay the  bill.  She said she would further investigate and call me back today.   I don't know I have a bad bad feeling about all this.

I am going to contact my HR department for a copy of my 2008 policy.  I did ask for this before from the Ins Co...but they never sent it...go figure.  I don't trust them at all.

I am just really beside myself with all this, I know everyone says not to worry but **** you get over 100,000.00 dollars worth of this **** in the mail and then don't worry about it.  I don't know how much more I can take after just losing my Mom and now this.  I am a wreck.

Thanks everyone for all your replies!!  I will keep you all posted, and perhaps start a new thread later today.

Tell the HR dept that you just got billed $200,000 because your insurance denied what they pre-authorized, and that you NEED their help with this.  Talk only to the HR manager, for they probably have more to do with the negotiations with the insurance company when open enrollment time comes around.  You need someone higher up and willing to help.  The last thing they want is to have themselves to blame for an employee going through such a financial hardship.
