I'll be the odd statistic to your hypothesis, both my children are adopted! (ha,ha,ha)  But then again, maybe my inability to get pregnant was a good thing...

I have probably whined the most on here about this very issue. I even posted a reward to anyone that could find my "real taste buds". it is starting to resolve but oh my...it was a fat woman's twilight zone episode for a while. Nothing tasted like it was supposed to. And my sense of smell was over the top. Textures weirded me out also. I noticed that sour came back first, then hot and now its starting to fill in. i am still scared to try some things because it was so traumatic at first. Dry things are nasty to me. i used to love fried chicken and bacon. Bacon tastes like wood to me and the chicken was like styrofoam. I am going to leave both of them alone for a while. My new "crave" food is chicken livers. i am scarfing down about 3-4 lbs a week. I love the creamy texture and that "strong" taste actually appeals to me. Go figure. They are a great source of protein so Its a win-win. I am coming up on 6 months out so hopefully i will get all my "real" buds back. They removed my gall bladder during the DS.
Peace
