My only suggestion would to be to look for a neurosurgeon and not an orthopedic surgeon.

I have to agree with Jan on that. In fact, my orthopedic surgeon (ankle guy) told me he would never have an ortho do spinal surgery.

Hope hubby finds some help soon.

Anna, I talked to the lady that mentioned the Doctor in FL that her dh had used and she said it wasn't just one specific doctor.  Her dh went to the Bonati Institute.  She said you can look it up online and get all kinds of info about it there.

Thanks, hon! I really appreciate you finding out for me. You know, the more we read about this particular type of pain, the less optimistic we are about surgery. Every person we've read about who has this and had surgery for it, had absolutely no improvement. One or two have said they've been helped by core strength and stretching exercises, so that's his focus right now; finding someone who is an expert in physical therapy. :::sigh::
