I'm not aware of DS surgeons in Fairfax.
Started researching the DS in Dec 2008.  2 years and one baby later(my 3rd), I'm finally switched!

Jill, I was going to butt in and say the same thing.  I am in the DC area and currently looking at docs and even if I was okay with getting the DS in two parts, I wouldn't consider Dr. S.  Not that he's not a great surgeon, but for whatever reason he's no longer pro-DS and thats just not who I would want doing my surgery.

There are a lot of great surgeons nearby.  Greenbaum in NJ, Peters in PA, in NY, Pomp (and soon, Gagner, I think)...just to name a few.  Maybe you would feel better about all of this if you had a consult with a surgeon who actually believes in the DS and wants to perform it.  I know Dr. S is a very qualified, but if doing the DS is more or less something he is resistant to, it just may not be the right choice for you.

Thank you for the suggestion. Like Jill I had alot of the same issues with DR. S and his office so you are probably right about choice of Dr. I will do more research.

I eat whatever I want after consuming my protein.  That includes veggies, fruit, juices, diet soda, coffee/coffee drinks and desserts.

Like I said, I eat whatever I want.  Always have and lost 100 percent of my excess weight.

If the time comes to cut the carbs, I will do just that.  So far my restriction is working fine too.

Hallelujah.
