Yes, plese DO keep me posted.    I credit the sublingual D for getting me from a 21 to a 30, but if I can do more with transdermal, I'm all over it!

Neither long nor boring Julie!  If you wrote a novel, I would read it

Your post is a great reminder of the lifestyle we all desire to acheive, active and normal at 4 years out.  Your vitamin challenges are unfortunate but with your commitment and strong medical support system, you are making progress and I think, setting a great example of how others can handle their challenges and still reap the benefits of this surgery, long term.

Thanks for all you contribute!

Julie,
You are one of my early inspirations and one of the main people that got me so excited to have come across the DS.  Thank you for all you do for this board.  Your contributions have been invaluable to me.  Cheers on your success!

Congratulations on 4 years and may you have many more!  I'm glad you have elected to stay on the boards rather than wandering away over time as many do.

I've thought about the edema thing and it is a mystery.  2 things I would suggest is plain(real) tea and an aspirin every day.  Maybe baby aspirin if the real thing bothers your stomach.  Most people our age should probably be taking them anyway.

I'm guessing you have eliminated any relation between the edema and salt?

Hi Patty, and I'm awfully glad I have a few DS "big sisters" hanging around on the boards to inspire me.  I do drink tea every day, but hadn't thought of the aspirin.    I am a big salt consumer, but if I don't, my blood pressure drops so low, that I get dizzy.    Kind of a vicious cycle for me.    I've started keeping an "edema" journal to see if I can find any relationship to anything too.
