Great report Julie, I'm so happy your D is coming up; I know it's been a real struggle. 

As I read your post I just kept thinking how I so know what you're saying and how wonderful it is to be free from the fat suit. I don't think anyone who hasn't been through this can understand how truly wonderful this is; you just have to have been there and done it to really understand. And you have really been there and done it.

I hear ya Kerry - I'd done a lot before I had WLS....went to Europe twice, climbed a mountain, went back to school at age 40 and got my bachelors, raised three great kids, started a new career at 45, teaching, sang with a world-class symphony, etc., etc., but I don't know if it's because I'm older or thinner, but everything is just so much sweeter now.    Even my walk on the beach today....it's so easy to do now, and I make a point of pausing in gratitude every single day for the beauty around me and the quality of my newer life.    I'm not being very articulate here, but I think you know what I mean.

Happy Surgiversary!  You've really rocked your DS.  You have also shown us how to be our own advocate for our health.  Yippee on getting your D up to 30.  At least you know that you are doing now is working.  Thanks for all your time, effort and help on this forum.

Julie, I'm just catching up on the board from the last few days, and I remembered seeing your post and making a mental note to read and respond when I had the time.  I want to say congratulations, you're a big part of this community and you've been a very reassuring presence for me before and after my DS.  Continued success!
