I love these  threads !!!  I Great job EN !!

For my fishies on grillI either put on a soaked wood plank, and grll after I have olive oiled them, added seasinings,  or place s****d oranges or lemons or limes on top and cover with foil and steam turns out nice and smoky!!

Both are for about 8 mins or if flipping (verrrry carefully) 4 to 6 on each side.....

BTW found steelehead trout at sams club !!!

Can you grill alligator, and wonder what the protein in that is? Is it also considered the other white meat? Just kidding, only ate it once in stew and I will pass, love my red blood meat. Karen

Um, well, I suspect alligator is mega lean and therefore in need of long marinade...... But I'm not interested either. Prolly 7 grams per oz like most meats, but bleh.

Gator is really friggin good but I can't imagine it would grill well. It can be kinda stringy and seems more well suited to gumbo. Or cut in itty-bitty bites, battered & fried. *drool*

THANK YOU!  THANK YOU!  THANK YOU!  You have no idea how much I have needed this lesson!  I promised I would teach myself this summer and summer is quickly coming to an end without me having gotten around to doing anything about that promise.

My HERO!  Thank you!

Bookmarked!

If you don't have a grill yet go BUY ONE. Truly this is not hard at all.

Thank you so much.  I am just starting to add meat to my eating.  These tips will definitely come in handy.  I can hardly wait.

YAY you are a newbie and a Dr. G. patient! WOOOHOOOO.  He's a very good guy. Listen, my advice is: GO SLOWLY on the meat. Eat one tiny bite and then wait an hour. Then eat another one. This is freaky and strange, but you need to understand how to go SLOWLY. It's easier on your gut and better for you.

Think truly TINY bites. Get a measuring spoon and put food in  a real measuring teaspoon. Then chew it lots and then wait several minutes before another teaspoon. Life will be SO much easier if you go this kind of slowly.
