I asked Dr Stewart why his info page wasn't set up on OH and he said the cost to keep it up and running was to much, especially when he could sink that in to his own website and that his patients were advertisement enough, due to there happiness.

Like Jenna said, he's vetted by the sites I trust for these things.  Mainly, dsfacts.com.  How lucky are we to have found Dr Stewart?  I give thanks daily for the events that brought me to this decision!

I love Dr Stewart, he is great.  The only down fall is that I have to talk to Leah if I want an appointment or anything and believe me I am so tired of trying to get a simply 6-month check-up from her that I quit talking to her and only talk to Sue now.

I totally agree about Dr. Stewart. I have had a great experience with him and Sue especially. He spent a lot of time with me on my Pre- Op phone call ( I live in Denver, he is in Texas). His office employees are always easy to reach and have been extremely helpful.

The only issue I have had with them is with follow up, I had to get on them about my short term disability paperwork and some prescription refills. I know it was because they were busy and not because they didn't care but it was frusterating.

I would have Dr. Stewart as my surgeon again and again though, he was great!

I'm very glad I had my revision with Dr. Greenbaum. I've had doctors up here in Bayonne stare in amazement at my operative report. The hematologist/oncologist said "I see operative reports all the time. This is the first time I've seen a 5 page operative report, and I don't know if you know how much this man did for you."   Full RNY to DS reversal, excision of the permanent ring around my stoma, removal of a partial bowel obstruction, removal of adhesions from prior surgeries, amd he removed a really awful stitch that was left in my arm by the plastic surgeon who botched the arms, haha.

Revisions are tricky, full rny to ds revisions are very tricky. I know that there are risks of complications, but I felt that I was well-informed about the risks going in.

He did worry way too much about weight loss. I've been stalled in the 160s for almost 3 months, after he was afraid I'd get down below 130 by this time. Oh well, I haven't and if I don't I'll be this size (happily) for the rest of my life.

I lost coverage when I changed jobs and he charged me so little for my follow-up visit that I was shocked.  I don't follow his vitamin advice, I follow Vitalady's, and he was happy with my numbers.

I love Dr. Houston for a VIRGIN DS.   He is very knowledgeable and always researching the DS and ways he can tweak his methods to give his patients the best results.    I was his 2nd DS and he was very cautious with me but i was SSMO with a BMI if the high 50's when I had my surgery.    I tell Dr. Houston exactly what I eat and how I eat and he has no issues with it - he understands the NUT in the office preaches the low fat low carb diet so he has asked me if it was ok if he sends patients my way if they get to goal and need to level off.    With revisions - I would send a lapband to him in a minute as he will do a real DS on them.    My only complaint about him (which will never apply to me) is he will not do a RNY to DS revision.   He does ERNY he has emailed me why he believes this method is better but that was a while back when that crazy in KY gal (i think her name was PAT) was in talks with Dr. Houston for a revision.

I am very grateful to K9 - she was Dr. Houston's 1st Ds and because of her - I honestly believe of her the DS was an option to me.

I have to agree with John and Charlee. While Dr. Houston may be one of the newer DS surgeons, he is a wonderful one. I have had a textbook recovery and he and his entire staff have always been very helpful and quick to respond to any questions or concerns.
