Is it possible to see someone like Dr. Keshishian and have things corrected?

Scopinaro is the BPD part of the DS which is very much frowned upon by all the vets on these boards.  Mention it in your subject line and vets start screaming how bad it is.  My health is now failing.  I would not use him for a revision.  I think a virgin ds would be fine but you don't know what he'll come across once he is in there and with me (I'm talking only about my experience) he decided to give me this awful procedure.  No recourse.  D....................

 Hi!

Welcome! I just wanted to tell you I had a fantastic experience with Ungson. I doubt you would end up with just a BPD because you didn't have any stomach stapling to cut apart and reassemble. That being said, you should email him your questions.

As far as lab work, I bring mine here and ask the vets to check them out. I follow the vitalady's DS plan so i haven't really had any bad labs yet. I also send them to her and get her feedback on them. So far she hasn't steered me wrong.

I am completely happy with my DS. I couldn't ask for anything better!! Please let me know if you have any more questions. :]

Dear R you don't know what you are talking about my dear.  Dr. Ungson did not have to cut apart and reassemble my stomach so shut the hell up.  I think he is a swell surgeon for a virgin ds but don't go there with me on a revision.  Please stay in the US for a revision.  Dr. Ungson gave me a Scopinaro procedure when he told me I would get the ds.  Everyone knows NO ONE does the scopinaro procedure any more yet he gave one to me!!!   Rena,  you are dead wrong on this one babe.

I wasn't intending on offending you. Maybe I have a misguided view of what stomach stapling is. I agree with you, i would be furious if i woke up with something other than what i wanted, especially that! I looked up stomach stapling and it seems like a muddled mess of info some even using that term for the RNY. Still i am confused on it.

Anyways, I wish you the best of luck and I hope that it all works out for you.

ETA: I think i figured out what stomach stapling is. Is it like a VBG? If it is like a VBG then you were robbed. I am sorry you got the BPD. Did you ask for a refund?

Thanks Rena!  I appreciate the feedback.  I'll be sure and ask him questions.  I still haven't decided on a surgeon.  It's good to get all this information.

I haven't heard from anyone on Dr. Marchesini yet.  Does anyone know if he is still practicing and/or have feedback on him?

Thanks to all!

you should post a new topic about him. His patients might just pass up this thread because he isn't in Mex.

However, I have heard great things about him and would have no trouble recommending him to my own friends and family. Hopefully more of them will pipe up with info for you. =]
