Anyone worry about losing too much weight?

I would like to weigh in here (forgive the pun ). I had DS surgery 2 years ago and have lost about 213 pounds, most of that in the first 12 months. My husband and family are getting worried. I have not had plastic surgery but do have some loose skin at my stomach and wrinkly skin in thighs, buttocks and such. It is nothing drastic nor can anyone tell unless they have seen me in the altogether - which means just my hubby ;)

I weigh about 131 now and about 5'6". I am not religious about my vitamins but I do pretty well and my labs are OK - normal ranges on everything. I guess what my question is is am I losing too much weight. How do I stop losing weight.
Thanks
Brenda

Personally, I wouldn't worry about losing too much unless you are below normal BMI AND you are still losing AND you are more than two years out.  If you're under two years out, if you've stopped losing, or if your BMI is normal, I'd say not to worry AT ALL about losing too much weight.

The body will most likely go lower, then bounce back.  Some people's bounce is 5%; and others are 20%.  One never knows where she/he will land.  I would hate for you to start carbing it up on purpose stop losing, then have a big rebound.

I was a lightweight with 108 lbs to lose.  I'm 5' 7.5" and small boned/not curvy, and midpoint in the normal BMI range is about 140 lbs for me.  That was my goal and my surgeon's.  I reached that, and now fluctuate between 135 and 140.  That puts me at a size 2/4 and in extra smalls/smalls.  I'm at 20 months out and I'm enjoying the ride!  A few people think I'm too thin, but I figure if I bounce back up to 155 or 160, that will put me in 6/8/10; and if I don't bounce, that's even better.  I won't start being concerned about that unless I start losing again.

Like others say, the main thing is protein, vites and fluids.  If your blood work is good, let it ride!

Like others have said, as long as you are still a normal BMI, and less than two years out, don't worry.

My surgeon is the one weirding out on me as he doesn't want ANY of his DS patients to get below a 24 BMI. Right now, I am at 122 and am 5'4". A 20.9 BMI. I can go as low as 108 before I am too low. My pcp is happy as a clam about my current weight (saw him on Thursday).

I have discovered that for me, between 120-130 is my range. I don't ever want to see above 135. And I want to stay between 120-125.

So far no one, other than my surgeon, thinks I am TOO thin.

I worry about it sometimes, but there are ways to slow it or stop it. More carbs, but for me more carbs means more farts so I doubt that will be the way I go, or Creon. I'm not going to obsess over it right now. If I can't slow down I'll address that issue when and if it occurs.
