All I want in life (and I write this with sincerity) is for people to have what I have, safe surgery and goal.  If I die today and i can say I talked someone out of a band and into a safer surgery and goal, I am good to go.

I lub you.

Poor kitten, I hope she does her research and realizes that that the Lapband isn't going to work for her, or anyone for that matter.  Yea, I'm horribly biased, it just kills me to see SMO people get the lapband and suffer and fail, its like a knife in my heart sometimes.

I totally get what you are writing.  It makes my heart hurt to see these folks getting a band and falling for the marketing.  I just want them to have what I have, safe surgery and goal.  When they get a band I know what their future holds.  it isn't right and it isn't fair.
