Responding to posts directed to pre-ops

Why do we repond? For several reasons. Some people continue to promote "myth's" instead of facts and if only pre-ops responded, would they know the difference? Also she (Diana) has been accused of "stirring the hornet's nest" because that IS what she does...

and I quote Diana "I'm a lawyer, I do persuasive writing for a living.  If I had wanted to be nice and non-controversial, I could have been."

She posts to be NOT nice and to BE controversial. She uses words such as "stupid, sheep-like, to passive, to submissive, to weak, to dim-witted or brainwashed" to describe people who shouldn't get the DS. Thus giving the perception that anyone not getting a DS is all of the above. You don't think that is "stirring up the hornet's nest"?

Most of us agree that the DS should be heard about by all pre-op's, it's the tone she purposely uses that get's people's "panties all twisted over".

I didn't think you meant to defend Diana. She can do that all herself. I did however, answer your questions about why people who are post-op also answer on threads that say "pre-op's look here" and why people get their panties in a knot when those post show up. There are a LOT of wonderful DS'rs out there who can get the message across and DO with out trying to be mean and controversial. I completely agree that the message needs to be out there. I've meet a few people that SHOULD have gotten a DS and didn't because they didn't do ANY research on different options available to them and went with the "my cousin's best friends sister got the (enter WLS of choice here) and so that's what I got" approach.

 Listen here puggirl OR pugirl, bound up panties or not you are guilty by association for KNOWING her. People appear to dislike Diana on OH more than Stalinism and unwanted pregnancies or both. Plus I used spell check this time and came up clean.
