What's up DSers? As some may know I was scheduled for the DS March 8th and plans were derrailed due to insurance compliations.  My Insurance company hasn't heard the last of me, I've made complaints to the NC board of insurance of my companies deliberate negligence in not letting me know that my surgery had not been approved until 3 days before my surgery date.  Forcing me into making a rapid fire decision after I've had so many things in order.  Anyway, we'll see what comes of that.

I had the VSG on March 8th, and so far, so good, I'm doing well.  I've lost 29 lbs from my highest weight.  I'm 3 weeks out today and just began to eat soft solid foods.  I've thrown up once, which I'm told is a result of eating too fast.  So eating slooooowwwww is the program for me.  They want me to get in 60 grams of protein and work my way up to 80 gms.  I gotta say it seems like a tall order to fill right now.  I just don't feel hungry and don't feel like eating.  Fluids are very easy to do and get in but the food, I don't want at all.  But I'm trying to push forward.

Thanks to all the DSers that have supported me, I'll be in touch! Keeping rocking it out of the box!!!

GRRRR for your insurance company doing that you!

You sound like you are doing well ~ ~

Keep on Keepin' on ..

Your tiny tummy will eventually allow you to easily get all your protein in

For now don't worry about it and just do what you can do, it will come in time

Congrats!

Keep rockin' it, chica!  If you're able to tolerate protein shakes, you can drink those.  They count toward both your fluids and protein.

I use Champion Pure Whey Stack--it's the only thing that keeps the hurlin' away!  You can order some samples of different kinds of protein from Vitalady if you haven't already.  Once you find a kind you like, you can order a big ole tub for cheap at allstarhealth.com.

Taking it slow is the key.  I had one episode like that and learned quickly not to do that again.  In due time, things will get easier and you will feel normal again.  Rock that DS!!!
