Hard to believe I'm 2 years' out!! Hello long lost friends!

I wanted to check in.  Please forgive me for my long absence.  I'm doing great.  I am grateful nearly every day for having had my DS.  I weigh exactly what I did at 9 months' out and couldn't be happier (144).  I have fluctuated up and down a few pounds, but always seem to settle in at 144.  I guess that's what my body likes...and who am I to argue?  I comfortably wear 6's and 8's...never thought I'd ever be back in single digits before my DS.

These last 2 years have brought about a lot of changes.  I got divorced last April and got my own apartment with my youngest son.  It was strange being single after having been married for almost 20 years.  I'm involved with someone and am very happy.  He's good to me and loves me saggy skin and all.

I am trying to live my life to the fullest now.  I am planning all kinds of adventures this summer with my sons.  I want to get out there and start doing all the things I let obesity rob from me in the past.

I do feel tired right now...it is time to get my iron levels rechecked.  I had infusions about 7 or 8 months ago and may be in need of infusions again...last time my ferritin had gone down to 6.

I am going to go to Oregon today to visit my dad (he had a heart attack but fortunately is ok).  I'm looking forward to seeing him and all my other family members there.

Now I gotta ask...Lori?  Did you get a divorce?  I just saw your facebook page and it says you're in a relationship with someone.  I'm assuming it was an April fool's day joke.  Alex also said she is married!  LOL

What juicy gossip have I missed over the last year?  Hugs to you all.  To all the newbies...this will be the best decision you ever make for yourselves.  It is very hard at first, but well well worth it--I promise.

Go**** is so nice to see you still around and doing well.  I miss reading your post but I too have been sooooo busy living life instead of sitting all the time (because I couldn't breath or move) in front of TV or computer.

Thank you Larissa, Renee, and Carla!  I'll try not to stay away so long next time.  I was having computer probs but finally bit the bullet and bought a new laptop...so now I don't have any excuses!  There are so many new faces on the board...I wish you all well...it is really exciting (and frustrating) going through the process.

LOL.. you have missed lots of gossip ! You also missed the firsts DS Cruise. Maybe you and  whomever would like to join the next one. Becky and Jeff did a great job of organizing the first one.

Glad your Dad is okay, have a safe and good trip to see him. I know all about taking care of parents.
