How did you celebrate getting to a significant or final goal?

Hi all,

I have always said getting to goal was not that big of a deal to me, and in the grande scheme it isn't.  But, at 3 lbs out, it looks like I am going to make it sometime this summer.

Even though it is arbitrary, if and when I make it, I want to celebrate in some way.  I'd like to hear how each of you celebrated a goal that was significant to you - whether it was a final goal or just a big milestone for you along the way!

Looking forward to hearing your stories!

Christy

I went out to dinner with David and had a beautiful meal and felt like I was dating again.  Then I set up an "at goal" facebook page and photo-*****d like an idiot.  I have also spent money I don't have on clothes that I don't need and high heels I may die wearing.

You're right in the scheme of things it doesn't matter but it is a first for my ego not to be shrouded in shame and fear so I'm enjoying celebrating my new self.

p.s. your horse is a stunner!  Appaloosa??

RIP Mickie aka Happychick.  You will be missed deeply.

She actually belongs to a friend...but I will be getting my own soon...I guess THAT will be my celebratory gift to me!

I am buying myself a pair of Christian Louboutin heels, the highest heel I can find, and am going to wear them EVERYWHERE.  I always planned this as my "goal gift".   I could never wear more than a 2" heel for more than 20 minutes preop, but I LOVE the super cute, super high heels and how I imagined they would make me feel.  Now, they are a reality, and I love them even more :)

I Louboutin.

I may make a major splurge even BEFORE I get to goal.  A couple of weeks ago I wore 6"ers all night for the first time in, well, forever and it was awesome.

I collected small gemstones--Montana sapphires, which I love--one for each ten pounds I lost. Eventually I had them made into a necklace of my own design.

Not yet. I'll have to take one and get it posted. The design was inspired by a dancing goddess idea.
