Another Converted to Kayla's YUMMY Protein Cake

I don't like the protein powder I am using.  The cocoa and splenda seem to cover it up completely.  There is no taste of protein powder in mine at all.  Which is why I love it so much.

Keep trying.  When you get it right you will be glad you did.  What recipe did you use exactly?  I can't comment 'cause I don't know what you did.

So glad everyone is enjoying it :)

If your cake is dry, try adding more oil if you can tolerate it.  The recipe I posted is a bit stingy with the oil just in case an early post op doesn't do so well with the extra fat.

I have used up to 3 T of oil in the cake successfully.

I'll try it with the extra oil- maybe that was it... Ever tried it with an egg added to it?

No, and I never will...not in a microwave cake.  Adding egg just kinda defeats the purpose of the recipe for me.  I wanted something fast, quick, easy, no-fuss.  Cracking an egg adds to the fuss-factor...haha :)

And a couple of other reasons:
1.  I think 1 egg would probably be too much for such a small amount of batter.
2. Can't taste the batter.  OK, that's a lie.  I would (and do) taste-test raw egg batters all the time, but I always feel a little bad about it and worry about salmonella contamination just a tiny tiny bit.
3.  I think the egg might make it microwave funny or have inconsistent heating.
