Put up My 2 week progress photos

Hey Ya'll I put up my 2 weeks progress photos in my profile desperate to find some difference. Scroll down to the July 26 entry. I have lost 18 pounds and 8.25 inches. The only place I can see it is in the stomach/boob side pic. Hopefully, I will have more thrilling transformations to come! Of course, I cannot really see anything gone when I look in the mirror. I promise to only do them monthly from now on. See you guys tomorrow (or later today) Kim

Hi Kim I looked at your picts and if you look at the front and back picts and look at how your arms hang differently between the two I think you might see the difference there. I see a lot more space from side to arm than before. btw I like your profile. you've done a good job of writing what has happened for you. It really shows a lot of insight. Tootles, Elaine

What I see different are three things - Your boobs are more prominent, which probably means you lost front belly weight. Your behind is a little LESS prominent, especially in the side-view shot. And the upper arm area is straighter. And that's just 18lbs! Wait til those numbers are reversed!!

You know it's funny - the last time I lost a significant amount of weight (on a medical fast), I would look in the mirror and not see an ounce of change. SEVENTY pounds were gone, and I couldn't see it at all - until I tried on new clothes - THEN I could see it. I think it was because my body was the same SHAPE even though it wasn't the same SIZE, so to me it all looked the same. I never reached the point of shape-shifting, when my waist magically supposedly gets SMALLER than my hips & boobs, so it was like it wasn't happening. It's one of the reasons I went with the DS - because I feel like it gives me the best chance of reaching that point where even I can tell a difference.

I see a general smallness all over, Kimmer. Already!! I'm glad you posted because I love all these details. You are great at getting the immediate post op progress documented. I am enjoying it immensely. I like how you are doing your photos, too - the front, side and back. Keep wearing that same outfit for a while so we can really compare, ok? And then when you have to switch to smaller jeans it will knock our socks off! See you soon on the other side!! Starr

All over smallness? I just don't see it Starr. My plan is to wear the same outfit for a bit to keep the differences in size more apparent. I cannot wait until you are over here! Soon- so very soon, Kim

Well, I just checked again and I definitely do see it, especially from the side. I could pick out the slimmer pics even if you didn't tell me which was which. Starr

I did not even take my first after shot until 3 months out, I was just not seeing it. But then I really did not see myself as big as I was until I decided to have surgery and I took the "there is nothing I can do about this so I am not going to obscess about the size of my ass blinders" off. I know the first 40lbs clothes were just fitting better- I was not at the end of the lycra strectc per garment. you look beautiful to me in both sets of pictures--and yes the tummy is looking smaller, or I think I would of preferred the boobs bigger!! keep it up gratitude is my attitude Amanda S VG- October 2001 highest >350/342 start of wls surgery/156@goal and after ps
